Since beginning her film career on Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy, Pip has supervised costume departments of both local and international feature film productions. These include - Lord of the Rings:The Rings of Power, Pete’s Dragon, Mr Pip, Yogi Bear, Fool’s Gold and Blood Diamond.

 

Additionally, Pip acts as a consultant to both designers and production companies regarding costume budgets and department set-up. Pip’s strengths are people management, logistics, problem solving, building and tracking budgets.

 

Pip is committed to the empowering of creatives to realise their vision, within the parameters provided by each individual project.

Born in Vilnius, Lithuania, Pavel immigrated to New Zealand in 1993.

 

Since completing film school in 2010, he has worked on numerous international productions including Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power; Ghost in the Shell; Peter Jackson’s Mortal Engines; and Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker.

 

During his time in the studio system Pavel has been involved in a wide spectrum of film making roles, from being on-set in the Camera and Lighting Departments to working off-set in Production, Costume and the Art Department. This has allowed him to experience film making first-hand from some of the top professionals working in the industry today.

 

As a director Pavel has been driven to produce challenging and ambitious work. With a desire to ultimately make feature films that explore the more complex motivations of human character.
